Artist Mentorship

I offer one-on-one mentorship for artists who are serious about developing their work and finding their authentic voice. 

​

What I bring

​

I bring years of teaching and lecturing about art, combined with an active studio practice. I have a deep understanding and a clear way of explaining the technical challenges, skills and methods necessary in making art. 

​

We will meet regularly to look at your work and discuss what is working, what isn't and most importantly why. I do not insist on any particular way of working, but will offer honest feedback, and help you think through the choices you are making. We will talk about concepts, techniques, series development, and your place in the long history of artistic endeavors. 

​

I am not a cheerleader, but will offer encouragement when needed, especially at times when you are stuck.

This mentorship is for you if you are looking for serious discussions about art in general, your art in particular and how best to keep your process moving forward.
